Model – Reconstruction – Interpretation
Haus Esters, Haus Lange

In cooperation with Projekt MIK Mies in Krefeld

In 1930, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed the clubhouse for a golf club in Krefeld. However, this elegant complex never came to be built. In 2013, the Mies in Krefeld society (MIK) realised a life-size model of the building which previously had only been known from sketches and a few draughts. The 6th Krefelder Architekturtage at Haus Lange and Haus Esters in cooperation with Projekt MIK will take the 1:1 model as its cue for a critical reflection on models, reconstructions and their interpretative bias in the work of Mies van der Rohe.

The programme will be conducted mainly in German language.
